The Home Ecology Project

Practical Home Economics education for everyday life.

The Home Ecology Project is a small, founder-led educational organization grounded in Home Economics. It is the institutional home for practical teaching, field guides, household systems, classes, and other resources that build understanding and competence.

Founded and led by Danita Platt

Danita Platt is a Public Home Economist. The Home Ecology Project is the organized institutional home for the parts of her work that foreground practical knowledge, teaching, orientation, and competence-building.

The project remains part of danitaplatt.com while having a distinct purpose within the larger professional practice: to make useful Home Economics knowledge understandable and usable.
